Mammalian Cell-Line-Expressed CD2v Protein of African Swine Fever Virus Provides Partial Protection against the HLJ/18 Strain in the Early Infection Stage

چکیده

A cell line expressing the CD2v protein of ASFV was generated. The efficient expression determined by immunofluorescence and Western blotting. Ni-affinity purified from supernatant cultures. CD2v-expressing cells showed properties hemadsorption, secreted exhibited hemagglutinating activity. antigenicity immunoprotection ability were evaluated immunizing pigs alone, combined with a cell-line-expressed p30 or triple K205R protein. Immunized challenged highly virulent strain HLJ/18. Virus challenge results that immunization alone could provide partial protection at early infection stage. Protein did not show synergistic effects in CD2v. Interestingly, combination CD2V, reversed effect. viremia onset time delayed, one pig out three recovered after challenge. clinical symptoms, rectal temperature returned to normal levels cleared. mechanism this effect warrants further investigation.

The CD2v protein of African swine fever virus interacts with the actin-binding adaptor protein SH3P7.

The predicted extracellular domain of the CD2v protein of African swine fever virus (ASFV) shares significant similarity to that of the CD2 protein in T cells but has a unique cytoplasmic domain of unknown function. Here we have shown that CD2v is expressed as a glycoprotein of approximately 105 kDa in ASFV-infected cells. In the absence of an extracellular ligand, the majority of CD2v appears ...

CD2v Interacts with Adaptor Protein AP-1 during African Swine Fever Infection

African swine fever virus (ASFV) CD2v protein is believed to be involved in virulence enhancement, viral hemadsorption, and pathogenesis, although the molecular mechanisms of the function of this viral protein are still not fully understood. Here we describe that CD2v localized around viral factories during ASFV infection, suggesting a role in the generation and/or dynamics of these viral struc...

Production of Monoclonal Antibody against Prokaryotically Expressed G1 Protein of Bovine Ephemeral Fever Virus

Epitope-G1 of bovine ephemeral fever virus (BEFV) G glycoprotein has been genetically and antigenically conserved among various isolates of BEFV and only reacts with anti-BEFV neutralising antibodies. Therefore, it is a candidate antigen for development of the enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) for serological identification bovine ephemeral fever (BEF)-infected animals. The aim of this ...

Antigenic properties and diagnostic potential of African swine fever virus protein pp62 expressed in insect cells.

African swine fever (ASF) is an infectious and economically important disease of domestic pigs. The absence of vaccine renders the diagnostic test the only tool that can be used for the control of new outbreaks of the disease. At present, the enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) test is the most useful method for large-scale ASF serological studies, although false positives have been detec...
